In 1990, Roman Sobolewski received an unusual request from a close friend, a surgeon at a local hospital who wanted to build a home addition made entirely of glass. After long, stressful days at work, he dreamed of coming home to a peaceful space where he could unwind, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, even on rainy days.
Intrigued by the idea, Roman took on the challenge. After weeks of hard work, he completed his friend’s first sunroom – a cozy, light-filled space that felt both innovative and serene. Inspired by the result, Roman decided to share this concept with others and founded Global Solariums, Inc. His vision was simple: to make custom-built sunrooms and outdoor living spaces accessible to everyone who wanted to enjoy nature and escape the stress of everyday life.
With a background in construction design and science, Roman applied his knowledge to develop advanced aluminum extrusion systems for glass structures, solving many of the early challenges in the sunroom industry. Over the next four decades, Global Solariums, Inc. became known for manufacturing and installing high-quality, reliable aluminum products – including sunrooms, patio covers, staging doors, and railing systems – for both residential and commercial clients. Thousands of projects were completed across Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Colorado, and beyond.
After nearly forty years of innovation and growth, Roman began preparing for retirement and faced one of life’s most meaningful decisions – passing his lifelong venture to the next generation. In 2024, a new team of passionate, forward-thinking leaders took the helm, ready to carry his vision forward.
By listening to our customers and studying market trends, we recognized a growing demand for a broader range of America-manufactured aluminum products. To reflect this expanded vision and ongoing commitment to innovation, Global Solariums, Inc. rebranded in 2025 as Alumaverse, Inc.
Today, Alumaverse, Inc. combines decades of experience with fresh energy and creativity. Our mission remains the same – to design and manufacture innovative aluminum structures that connect people with nature, enhance living spaces, and enrich everyday life.
